Training Tips

It does not really matter if you train in the morning, day or evening. Some people believe that training in the morning before eating is the best for optimum fat loss and kick starting your metabolism.

The main thing is that you get some sort of training done at least 4 (four) times a week. This does not just help as far as fat burning goes but will also go a long way in helping in your general health and wellbeing as well as lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

Stay away from alcohol in every way!

Alcohol messes up your mind, blood sugar levels and has a huge effect on your insulin production, and will slow down your attempt to burn body fat.

If you train with weights try to do 3 sets of 25 - 30 repetitions of every exercise with a relatively low weight. If you cannot do at least 25 repetitions the weight is too heavy. If you can do more than 30 repetitions the weight is too light.

Circuit training is also a good alternative, as said before; the ideal would be to do 2 days a week of weight training as this firms the muscles and not build them, and 2 days a week of cardiovascular training, as this gets the blood flowing and heats up the body to cause further thermogenisis and burning of body fat as well as making you fit.

Good forms of cardiovascular training would be jogging or running, climbing stairs or using the Stairmaster in gym, rowing, cycling and tennis or squash.

Remember! To always consult your doctor before extreme training if you have a medical condition like heart disease or cardiovascular disease.

Start off slowly and always stretch and warm up before vigorous exercise to prevent injuries. Most Health Clubs have qualified trainers who can tailor-make a training programme for you as part of their services.
